Directions to Masiphumelele from Cape Town Waterfront

See How you can Help

Come out of the main exit from the Waterfront via the Western Boulevard to the major intersection with Buitengracht. Turn left on the N2 / N1 for the airport, Paarl and Muizenberg. Almost immediately the NI bears left to Paarl – you bear right on the N2 to the Airport and Muizenberg on the Eastern Boulevard. At the top of the hill the M3 (De Waal Drive) joins you on the right. Shortly thereafter, at Groote Schuur Hospital, the N2 to the airport leaves on the left. You bear right on the M3 to Muizenberg.

Once you are on it, you know you are correct if you look to the right and you will see the Univ. of CT, a large, very pretty brick ivy covered building with a rugby field in front of it.

Follow the M3 for 20 minutes or so.  When the M3 ends, turn right to Simon’s Town via the Ou Kaapse Weg M42.  After about 800 metres turn left on the Ou Kaapse Weg M64 to Simon’s Town.

Go over the mountain and down the other side. Go through the first traffic lights (shopping center on the right) and turn right at the second lights on the Kommetjie Road, M65. Go about 600 meters through a traffic light, then just after Lekkewater Road on the right, turn right where you see shacks and the word Masiphumelele written on a rock .

Drive down the main road about 50 metres to the Sosebenza Youth Center on your right (which we built in 2001). Marc’s office is in there. It is a further 400 metres to the Ukhanyo School on the right which is a good meeting place.

Allow about 50 minutes to drive from the waterfront to Masiphumelele (depending on traffic).
