Examples of Current Funding Opportunities

For $3,000 a year for 2-3 years you can sponsor a young person from Masiphumelele to go to college or school or technical college where they can obtain valuable, employable skills.

$2,000 for bookshelves, tables, chairs and other furniture for the Ikhaya Labantwana creche

For $2,500 a year you can pay for the transport of the girls’ soccer team (the “Mighty Tigers”) to league matches, taking young women out of the township and allowing them to represent their community with pride.

For $2,000 a year you can add another librarian to expand our new “lapsit “program.

If you add $500 to the endowment in the Ikhaya Labantwana creche, the income from that principal will allow five children to attend the day care center.

For $500 you can pay the tuition for a Masiphumelele resident to obtain the International Computer Drivers’ license and thus obtain employable skills.

For $25 you can buy a school uniform for a primary school child whose parents are too poor to allow him to dress like the other kids in the class.
