The Masiphumelele Corporation is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization which supports the people of Masiphumelele, a township near Cape Town, South Africa.

The underlying principle of the Masiphumelele Corporation is to help township residents who have demonstrated that they will help themselves. We seek to support community entrepreneurs and future leaders who can create sustainable transformation for their families, schools and neighborhoods. We focus our energy and support on people who work with the community in a partnership for self-improvement. As partners with the community, the Masiphumelele Corporation helps provide leadership, organizational skills, financial support and hope.

Navigating this site:

 We have built affordable houses, two daycare centers, a library and a youth center.

 We support the township schools, and sponsor scholars so that they can attend nearby high school and colleges.We have financed further education for local teachers.

The library we built and then extended has become the centre for learning in the community. We support a number of programs there. Next door is a park for children - the only patch of green in the otherwise barren landscape of the township
