MASIP Board - Michigan Association of Security and Investigative Professionals - Dale_WhiteDale White - President

Dale White has over 40 years of experience in retail, industrial, event, and private security.

He attended Michigan State University majoring in law enforcement, and Wayne State University majoring in psychology.  He attended the Detroit police academy in 1976.

Dale was an executive manager with the Dayton-Hudson Corporation for 16 years. He supervised the security of 18 locations, and conducted internal investigations for the company.  In 1994, he left Dayton-Hudson to start his own security consulting company.  He is currently Vice President of Graystone Security and Protection Services.

Dale has served on the Wayne County Homeland Security Counsel and as a Special Deputy for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.

As president of the Michigan Contract Security Association, now called Michigan Association of Security and Investigative Professionals, for the last 5 years, he has worked with Michigan lawmakers to promote legislation to improve the professionalism and accountability of Michigan’s private security companies.  He is also a long-standing member of the American Society for Industrial Security.

Kevin’s professional passion is dedicated to business insurance, with expertise serving the security and investigative industries.

He holds degrees in risk management and economics (Olivet College/Ferris State University) and has held his insurance counselor’s license for the past 30 years.

After the terrorist events of 911, he has saved security companies millions of dollars in premiums while avoiding very restricted coverage forms.

He has been on the board of directors of the Michigan Contract Security Association as an active leader for the past 12 years. He also partners with many state and national security/investigative associations as well as federal law enforcement agencies.  

Kevin has been active with several regulatory boards in developing policy to help safeguard & protect the future of the security industry.

As an industry innovator he has direct underwriting authority and serves approximately 2,000 security/investigative firms located in all 50 states.

MASIP Board - Michigan Association of Security and Investigative Professionals - Emad_ShenoudeEmad (AL) Shenouda

Al Shenouda is a Managing Partner of the AmeriShield Protection Group, a consulting and training firm specializing in homeland security and defense matters, he is also the Chief Operating Officer of City Shield Security Services. He is the former Federal Protective Security Adviser assigned to Eastern District of Michigan from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, National Protection and Programs Directorate. He is the former Senior DHS Headquarters Field Director and is the Department’s chief anti-terrorism, preparedness, and risk officer. He is responsible for securing critical infrastructure along physical, cyber and human threats, as well as national disaster recovery operations by coordinating with federal, state, local authorities and private sector officials.

He has advanced certifications in physical, cyber security, security engineering design, antiterrorism force protection, crisis management and critical incident response as well as high risk special event security planning.  He was designated as the federal security chief for the 2005-2006 All Star Game and Super Bowl. Mr. Shenouda is certified in numerous vulnerability assessment methodologies, risk management techniques and has conducted surveys and comprehensive reviews at numerous high risk/consequence facilities to include the national chemical and nuclear sectors review pilots. He serves as a senior technical advisor to the Secretary’s Homeland Security Advisory Council, supporting the Presidents Gun violence Reduction program and Biden Commission. He also supports the HSAC Faith based Subcommittee, on Countering Violent Extremism and Home-Grown Radicalization, (CVE). He also supports the Office of the Director National Intelligence, Private Sector Intelligence Requirements Working Group.  In addition, he completed the national threat assessment for Coptic Churches in the U.S. Further, he is the designated cross border lead, supported national exercise TOPOF- 4 and was the intelligence lead for the 2008 Republican National Convention.

He is a former Detroit Police Command Officer and a 12-year veteran of the Detroit Police Department, (DPD).  Spent five years assigned to the FBI, Joint Terrorism Task Force, (JTTF) conducting counterterrorism and foreign counterintelligence investigations in support of sensitive national security cases, of presidential visibility. He is the recipient of the 2004 JTTF distinguished service award. He has been detailed to the National JTTF and the National Counterterrorism Center.  Mr. Shenouda is a fluent Arabic linguist and is the former Executive Officer of the DPD Homeland Security Section.  He is also a former tactical commander and crisis negotiator and has participated in command of 100 tactical scenes. He has a strong investigative and tactical operations background and amassed significant investigative experience in white collar, property, and violent crimes as well as terrorist funding and transnational crimes. He excels in the areas of project management, policy formulation, asset recruitment development and international operations.

He is a frequent guest lecturer at universities and seminars regarding national security topics. Mr. Shenouda is a graduate of Wayne State University with departmental honors in political science and an MPA from the University of Michigan and has completed a concentration in strategic intelligence.  He is an adjunct instructor at Eastern Michigan University, Center for Regional and National Security Studies and the Graduate Intelligence Program at the University of Detroit Mercy. He is currently a doctoral candidate and has published several papers on intelligence and security matters.

Mike Bruggeman is the Founder and President of Titan Group USA, a boutique security advisory firm that provides clients with specialized counsel, expertise and services utilizing a variety of solutions - all individually targeted to meet the client needs.

Drawing on his close to 40 years of law enforcement and security experience in both the public and private sectors, Mike uses a variety of skills and tactics such as relationship building and collaboration with key stakeholders, project and vendor management as well as deep technical knowledge to create customized security solutions that deliver program efficiencies and client satisfaction.

Prior to founding Titan Group USA, Mike was Senior Vice President of Security for Rock Ventures, the umbrella entity formed to provide operational direction to a diverse portfolio of more than 100 companies, investments and real estate, including: Quicken Loans, Bedrock, the 2016 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers and JACK Entertainment.

Mike is a member of the Intelligence Operation Center Advisory Board by appointment of the Governor of Michigan, chair of Detroit Southeast Michigan Information Center Advisory Board by appointment of Detroit Homeland Security for 2016, U.S. Department of Justice – U.S. Attorney Anti-terrorism Advisory Council, a board member of both the Detroit’s Public Safety Foundation and the Detroit Crime Commission. Mike previously served as the Chair for the U.S. Homeland Security Department, Critical Manufacturing Sector Coordinating Council and as a board member of Crime Stoppers of Southeast Michigan.

Mike is a deputized sheriff of Genesee County and Wayne County in Michigan, and a Police Reservist with the City of Detroit’s Police Department. He has a master’s degree in Security Administration from the University of Detroit Mercy and a bachelor’s in Management of Human Resources from Spring Arbor University. He is a Board-Certified Protection Professional of the America Society for Industrial Security.

James Harris has over 30 of experience in manufacturing, military law enforcement and security.

While on active duty he served as a Master-at-Arms (military police) and certified instructor. After leaving the military he worked in the fields of manufacturing, engineering and security. Currently he is the Director of Security Operations at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center – Detroit Wayne Joint Building Authority.

For nearly 30 years, in a number of varied positions, James has developed a comprehensive set of skills and experiences that have allowed him to function effectively and efficiently in some challenging security assignments. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, an MBA in Global Leadership from Canterbury University and has advanced coursework in Sociology and Labor Studies from Indiana Purdue Fort Wayne. He continues his passion for learning and teaching as a CPR/First Aid Instructor, Workplace Violence Prevention and Response Training Instructor, Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) Instructor, Active Survival Instructor, and teaches coursework in security services management.

James is a volunteer and sits on the Boards of the Detroit Civilian Emergency Response Team (CERT) and is the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) Detroit Chapter Treasurer.

James is an avid beekeeper and gardener. When not working he can be found enjoying the great outdoors or volunteering in his community.
